Creating Organisational Change: Exploring New Approaches to Children’s Services
19 January 2017, 10.00 am to 4.00 pm,
This seminar will explore how to change services. New approaches to Children’s Services, such as Restorative Practice, Systemic Practice and Signs of Safety have become popular in recent years. This seminar brings together nationally known leaders with experience of organisational change to share lessons about how to create organisations dedicated to great practice.
Speakers will include:
Steve Goodman, Director of Morning Lane Associates and co-founder of the Reclaiming Social Work model.
Saleem Tariq Deputy Director, Children's Services, Leeds City Council where a Restorative Practice approach has been introduced.
Alli Parkinson, Head of Children's Services, and Di Beacroft, Service Manager for Integrated Quality Assurance and Safeguarding, Pembrokeshire County Council, who led on Pembrokeshire’s move to Signs of Safety.
This seminar will explore similarities and differences between these varied models for practice, but the main focus of the day is to share experiences of organisational leadership, including challenges and how they may be overcome. The seminar will be focussed on open and honest discussion and learning. Numbers will be strictly limited, so book early to avoid disappointment.
