We all talk about changing social care for the better, but how does a workforce under pressure make this happen?
Welcome to ExChange!
ExChange is a new community of practitioners, researchers, and current/former service users aiming to build better social care in Wales. Members share practice expertise, research evidence, and care experiences to learn, advise others, direct and consult on research, and impact policy and practice. Facilitated and organised by practice-focused social care academics from the CASCADE research centre at Cardiff University, ExChange provides a vibrant and engaging route for the ongoing development of practitioner and researcher knowledge and skills, whilst foregrounding the lived experiences of care-experienced people.
ExChange is based in the Children’s Social Care Research and Development Centre (CASCADE), in the School of Social Sciences, Cardiff University. We have strong links with other universities, practitioners, policy makers and service users groups throughout Wales. We are concerned with all aspects of community-based responses to social need in children and families.
