CASCADE & LACE researchers awarded Social Research Association awards

Last week at the Social Research Association awards, researchers from the Looked After Children in Education (LACE) Research Team, led by Dr Dawn Mannay, were awarded the Research Innovation Award.  This award spoke to the innovative methods in engaging with looked after children as part of their research project. To find out more about this work please see the LACE page.


In addition. Dr Sophie Hallett, of the Children’s Social Care Research and Development Centre (CASCADE) was awarded the Early Career Researcher of the Year award for her research on child exploitation in Wales.  This award spoke to the impact of Dr Hallett’s research on young people, policy, and practice.
