Become a Youth Ambassador – Have your say about fostering in Wales

If you are aged between 16 and 23 years, have experience of being in care, and want to be part of the movement to improve the lives of children in care, then the Fostering Excellence Youth Ambassador Programme is for you.

Here at The Fostering Network we are looking to recruit a team of youth ambassadors who will influence public decision-makers and the media, inspire other children and young people in care, as well as help to train foster carers and social workers.

Youth ambassadors will have the opportunity to get involved in all different types of activities including:

  • Attending meetings, workshops and training events to share your views.

  • Writing online blogs and contributing to the development of Thrive magazine.

  • Supporting and inspiring other children and young people in care.

Youth ambassadors don’t need to have previous experience of volunteering or being an ambassador – all we ask is that you are passionate, enthusiastic and committed!

Visit thefosteringnetwork.org.uk/become-youth-ambassador to find out more information or email charlotte.wooders@fostering.net and she will be happy to answer any of your questions.

Completed application forms can be emailed to charlotte.wooders@fostering.net.

We look forward to hearing from you!
