Exploring Expertise: The ICO’s “Better Records Together” Campaign and Research on Improving Access to Care Records
The ICO’s Better Records Together campaign highlights the barriers care‑experienced people face when accessing their records, and calls for trauma‑informed, person‑centred practice.
This session will draw on the ICO’s new care records standards and research with care‑experienced people to show how organisations can improve the way records are created, managed and shared. It will outline practical steps for lawful, transparent and compassionate access, and how better record‑keeping can improve outcomes across the life course.
