Learning from Research: Safeguarding in the context of adoption and special guardianship
We’re sharing new findings on safeguarding in adoption and special guardianship, from a Nuffield Foundation–funded study led by the Institute of Public Care at Oxford Brookes University and the University of Birmingham. The research looked at five local authorities across England and Wales, analysing case files and speaking with families and professionals to understand children’s experiences after adoption or SGO.
Emeritus Professor Keith Moultrie will present the key insights and reflect on what they mean for social workers today.
