Senior Research Officer; Justice Policy
We are recruiting a Senior Research Officer to support the scrutiny of justice policy within Senedd Research.
You will provide independent, impartial parliamentary research to all Members of the Senedd in their scrutiny, legislative and representative work. This roles involves researching complex policy and legislative issues, evaluating evidence and communicating findings clearly and accessibility to support informed debate and decision-making.
Higher Research Officer (two posts)
We are recruiting two full-time Higher Research Officers in Senedd Research who will work across policy areas and likely to be working on the following :
– Post 1: Environment & Transport / Constitution
– Post 2: Post 16 Education and Skills / Economy
As work requires, post holders will be required to work in the other subject areas covered by Senedd Research.
The purpose of these posts is to provide impartial, independent, and expert factual briefing on all aspects of relevant policy, legislation and statistics to support Senedd Members and committees. This briefing can involve secondary research and requires critical analysis of a range of information sources. The roles also involves writing and publishing articles to inform debate and scrutiny, while aiding understanding of the Senedd’s wider work.
Higher Research Officer; Equality and Human Rights
We are recruiting a Higher Research Officer to work on equality and human rights policy within Senedd Research.
Equality and human rights policy in Wales operates within a complex landscape of devolved and reserved responsibilities. With support from senior colleagues, you will help Members and committees understand how Welsh duties, UK-wide equality and human rights frameworks, and international obligations apply across devolved policy areas such as health, education, housing, social care, local government and community safety.
