Sharing research methods and processes for empowering children and young people
To celebrate the twentieth anniversary of the Children’s Research Centre (CRC), we are holding a one-day conference at The Open University in Milton Keynes to consider the development and direction of participatory research with, about and led by children and young people. This community-centred event provides an opportunity for us to reflect on what has been achieved and consider the challenges ahead.
The Children’s Research Centre was one of the first centres in the UK to promote and support research by children and young people, but we are now part of a well-established network of like-minded advocates and allies across UK. We would therefore like to invite contributions for short oral or poster presentations that foreground research with, about and led by children and young people under the following two themes.
- Participatory research methods and approaches
- Managing power relationships and facilitating empowerment
If you would like to present your research (either as a poster or short oral presentation), please submit an abstract using the online abstract submission form. The deadline for submissions is 5:00pm on Friday 5th July 2024.
