This workshop offers young people aged 15 -18 the opportunity to explore and develop their creative writing skills. Most importantly it’s a place where they can discover their voice and share it with others.

In the Beginning: Free Playwriting Workshop

Beginnings are always the hardest bit. Whether you have written before or have never given it a go, we know how hard it can be to get started.

That is why, on Friday the 4th of November, Sherman Theatre are inviting young people to take part in a playwriting workshop to help start creative writing. Assisted by professional playwrights and theatre makers, we are giving the pen and paper to the young people to tell their story.

From 10am to 4pm they will be welcoming young people into their rehearsal rooms to find their beginning. The aim is to create a space where young people can belong, where they can be themselves, and explore the incredible stories they want to tell.
