This course will give an understanding of Identity and Self-esteem for CLA and how to respond effectively, ensuring best practice. The course will define care-experienced children and young people and their different journeys into care including where they may be living. Participants will consider the impact of being removed from biological parents, the experience of being cared for by others and the reasons they became cared for may have on their physical and psychological wellbeing.
