10am: Gareth Kelly – Keeping up to date in Physics, with special reference to astronomy and particle physics.
11am: Vision and Beyond – The electromagnetic spectrum and it’s relevance to astronomy and the Curriculum in Wales
11.45am: Exoplanets – Dr Marie Gorman, Department of Physics, Aberystwyth University
12.30pm: Lunch will be provided free of charge (please notify us, in advance, of any dietary requirements)
1.15pm: Cosmic Detectives – What do we know and how do we know it? – the application of waves to cosmology.
2.30pm: Trip on the Cliff Railway – a relaxing trip on the longest funicular electric cliff railway in Britain to the top of Constitution Hill, from where you can enjoy spectacular and uninterrupted views of the town, Cardigan Bay, and on a clear day 26 mountain peaks spanning much of the length of Wales. Ice Cream provided!
