Our first Webinar in our conference series – On the Journey: Navigating Mental Health
Presenter: Professor Peter Beresford
Time: 12:00 – 13:00
Location: ZOOM, Online
In this presentation, offered as a basis for discussion, Peter, drawing on his own and other people’s lived experience, aims to help us rethink both understandings of mental wellbeing and distress and helpful ways of addressing the difficulties we may have – paying particular attention to how the difficulties of childhood can come back to bite us later and how understanding ourselves and others as children can help us live our lives.
Peter Beresford is Chair of Shaping Our Lives, the national user led and disabled people’s organisation and network. He has long term experience of using state mental health services and is Visiting Professor at the University of East Anglia.
