Mae gofalwyr โ€˜anffurfiolโ€™ yn bobl syโ€™n gofalu am berthnasau, ffrindiau neu eraill mewn swyddogaeth ddi-dรขl neu heb gefnogaeth. Maent yn rhychwantu cwrs bywyd ac yn cynnwys gofalwyr ifanc, gofalwyr anffurfiol syโ€™n berthnasau i blant a phobl ifanc, ac oedolion syโ€™n gofalu am y rhai sydd ag anabledd, salwch hirdymor, anhawster iechyd meddwl, problem defnyddio sylweddau, neu angen cymorth syโ€™n gysylltiedig ag oedran.

Yng Nghyfrifiad 2021, dywedodd mwy na 310,000 o bobl (un o bob 11) yng Nghymru eu bod yn darparu gofal di-dรขl (10.5%) a darparodd dros 107,000 o bobl yng Nghymru dros 50 awr o ofal di-dรขl bob wythnos. I gydnabod bod angen dybryd i ofalwyr yng Nghymru gael mwy o gymorth, lansiodd Pwyllgor Iechyd a Gofal Cymdeithasol y Senedd ei adroddiad โ€œAr bwynt torriโ€ Yr angen brys i wella cefnogaeth i ofalwyr di-dรขl ym mis Ebrill 2026.

The Experiences of Black and Asian Kinship Carers in England

In England, approximately 120,000 children live in kinship care, most without formal kinship arrangements. Children from minority ethnic backgrounds, particularly Black children, are underrepresented in these arrangements.

This webinar discusses the experiences of Kinship carers from Black and Asian communities and highlights the issues of insufficient housing provision, lower incomes, racism and harmful assumptions about the support networks of these communities.
